Darul Uloom Alrisalah een onderdeel van Stichting Onze Omgeving is momenteel gevestigd aan de Millingenhof 115, een centrale plek in de wijk Holendrecht in Amsterdam Zuidoost. De ligging van de huidige huisvesting is geschikt voor de activiteiten die Stichting Onze Omgeving ten doel heeft en de doelgroepen die zij beoogt te dienen.

Stichting Onze Omgeving werkt –rechtsreeks of via zusterorganisaties- samen met Stichting Kind & Omgeving, Stichting Moskee Arrahman, Stichting De Moskee Nasr, de Protestantse Gemeente Amsterdam Zuidoost (de Drie Stromen  Kerk in Reigersbos), Politie Reigersbos (Politiebureau Remmerdenplein),  Stadsdeel Zuidoost , Ramadan Festival, Mexit en Stichting Bijzonderwijs (school Mobiel).

Samenvatting van de activiteiten:

Buurloop

De actieve leden van Stichting Onze Omgeving organiseren op wekelijkse basis een  buurtloop. Tijdens zo’n buurloop nodigen de deelnemende mensen de bezochten uit om de vestiging van Stichting Onze Omgeving te komen bezoeken. Na de buurloop wordt er een bijeenkomst gehouden in de vestiging van de stichting met een lezing waar de aanwezigen kennis nemen van de doelen van Stichting Onze Omgeving en uitgenodigd worden om bij te dragen aan de stichting en zijn activiteiten.

Uitwisselingsprogramma

Stichting Onze Omgeving regelt uitwisselingsbezoeken met zusterorganisaties en heeft in dit kader bezoek mogen ontvangen van zusterorganisaties van zowel binnen- als buitenland. Het bezoek is telkens in de vorm van een groep mensen die de stichting op bezoek stuurt of als bezoek ontvangt. De groep neemt deel aan de activiteiten van de stichting (waaronder de wekelijkse buurtloop) en wisselt ervaringen uit met de stichting.

Daarnaast heeft Stichting Onze Omgeving in groepsverband vergelijkbare bezoek georganiseerd naar diverse vestigingen van zusterorganisaties in Nederland.

Participation in discussions in the neighbourhood and in society

Stichting Onze Omgeving organizes meetings to discuss topics of general interest. An example of this is the theme evening "Religion and freedom of expression in our society" which Stichting Onze Omgeving has organized in collaboration with the sister organization "Stichting Kind en Omgeving". In particular, police reigersbos and a church institution in Heron Forest took part in this evening. The lectures and discussions from and in the room were a great success.

Stichting Onze Omgeving: the future

The results achieved through the current activities of the Stichting Onze Omgeving are hopeful. The awareness of Stichting Onze Omgeving and the active participation of recruited members are growing as expected. Stichting Onze Omgeving intends to expand the current activities and to start new activities that aim to increase tolerance, tolerance, acceptance and good neighbourhood on the one hand and the integration and social participation of the weak and immigrant people in Amsterdam Zuidoost on the other.

Ramadan activities

During the month of Ramadan, Stichting Onze Omgeving organizes activities on a daily basis, including a joint meal when breaking fasting (at sunset), giving lectures and visiting isolated and sick people nearby.

Promoting Integration and Emancipation

Stichting Onze Omgeving will organize meetings led by expert with experts and volunteers for explanation about participation in volunteering and entering the labour market. The target group is basically the Islamic community, both men and women. This target group comprises more than ten nationalities in Amsterdam Zuidoost. The aim is to promote active participation in the neighbourhood in particular and in society in general.

Culture and language lessons for children

Stichting Onze Omgeving wants to provide lessons of language, culture and Islamic learning for children aged 4 to 12 years (Primary school age). In this, the foundation will call on specialized and expert sister organisations such as Stichting Kind & Omgeving in Amsterdam Zuidoost.

The purpose of the language and culture lessons is to give the children of our target groups a good baggage in language and culture in order to strengthen their own identity and personality and to facilitate communication during their temporary holiday stay in their parents' country of origin.

With the lessons on Islamic teachings, we aim to teach the children of the Islamic community the basic Islamic principles in a responsible way so that they do not become radicalized.
